Registration has now closed for the Kids and Teens Spring Krav Maga session. If you are interested in finding out when our next Kids & Teens Krav Maga session starts please contact us by clicking here

This program is designed for children and teenagers aged 6 to 17 and takes place on Saturday mornings from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM. Each session consists of nine classes and follows the school calendar, with short breaks for certain holiday weekends. Because class sizes are intentionally kept small, spaces are limited to ensure that every child receives the appropriate attention, guidance, and a positive training experience.

For those who are new to the program, there is the option to begin with a trial class. These are available during the first two classes of each session and allow your child or teen to experience the training environment without any long-term commitment. The trial class costs $25, and after attending, you can decide whether to enroll t hem for the remainder of the session. This approach allows both parents and students to feel confident that the program is the right fit before committing to the full course.

The full nine-week session is priced at $216 per child or teen, with no hidden or additional costs. This includes all training, as well as any bgradings, and certificates etc., awarded during the program. The structure is straightforward and transparent, allowing parents to focus on the value of the training rather than worrying about extra fees or unexpected expenses.

The program itself is built around teaching practical self-defense skills in a way that is engaging, supportive, and appropriate for kids and teenagers. Whilst the techniques are rooted in real-world self-defense, the emphasis is on delivering them in a format that is both enjoyable and accessible. Through a combination of drills, exercises, and structured activities, children and teenagers develop not only physical skills such as balance, coordination, and reflexes, but also confidence, awareness, and the ability to manage challenging situations that could potentially compromise their safety.

A key part of the training involves helping children and teenagers understand how to deal with conflict, including elements of anti-bullying education. Students are taught how to recognize potentially aggressive situations, how to avoid or de-escalate them where possible, and how to respond effectively if necessary. This focus ensures that the program goes beyond physical techniques and supports the development of important life skills that can be applied in school, social settings, and everyday life.

Classes are delivered in a way that reflects the needs and abilities of different age groups. While students may train together at times, they are also separated when needed so that instruction can be tailored appropriately. This ensures that younger children are not simply given a simplified version of adult training, but instead receive instruction that is relevant to their size, strength, and real-world experiences. The goal is always to provide realistic, practical skills that make sense for the individual student.

Training sessions are designed to be active and engaging, making the most of the 45-minute class format. The use of fast-paced drills and interactive exercises keeps students focused and motivated, while also ensuring they leave each class with a sense of progress and achievement. The environment is supportive and encouraging, helping students build confidence not only in their physical abilities but also in themselves.

When enrolling in the full session, each student receives a complimentary school t-shirt, which serves as their training uniform. There is no requirement to wear traditional martial arts clothing such as a gi. Instead, students can train in comfortable athletic wear such as shorts or sweatpants that allow for free movement. Classes are conducted barefoot on fully matted floors to provide a safe and appropriate training surface.

Progress within the program is recognized through a rank system that reflects a student’s commitment and attendance. Rather than relying on formal testing with additional fees, progression is based largely on participation and consistency. This approach reinforces the importance of regular training while removing unnecessary pressure and cost from the grading process.

If you are interested in enrolling your child or teen, you can choose either to book a trial class or register directly for the full session (once it starts). The program is designed to provide a structured, enjoyable, and meaningful introduction to self-defense, while helping young people develop confidence, resilience, and practical skills they can carry with them beyond the training environment.
